Captain Jon Tisdale
Captain Jon Tisdale has been fishing out of Point Judith, Rhode Island for over 15 years. Local knowledge of the area both in and offshore are key to our success. Mechanic by trade, but being a fisherman and boat enthusiast are his passions. Reel American charters is all about creating a personalized experience for every specific trip. Do you want to spend the day hooking up and stand up fighting sharks? Would you rather a relaxing day fishing for black sea bass? Do you want to spend the day trolling for tuna? Maybe half the day fishing and half the day exploring Block Island? Perhaps you and your friends would like to invite your significant other, and they can check out Block Island while we fish the area? ANYTHING you can think of, we'll tailor your trip to you, and create an experience you won't soon forget!
Crew
The Reel American crew and deckhands you will meet have been fishing with Captain Jon for many years. They are extremely well rounded guys that will help with all aspects of the trip. They are all the closest friends and have been since childhood. Bait prep, rigging lines, filleting your catch at the end of the day, and are guaranteed to give you a few laughs. Tip for the mate is generally 20% gratuity of the charter fee paid by the charter guests for their hard work throughout the day.
